Sunset Memorial Park and Crematory will honor all pre-need contracts and arrangements made with Byrd Funeral Home. “We want everybody to know if they have a contract we will honor it without additional cost,” Robert Byrd said. While founding Byrd Funeral Home in 1983, he hasn’t been associated with it for almost a decade. Byrd, and his wife Toni, now own and operate Sunset. Byrd points out that the transfer of pre-need contracts to Sunset will be appealing to many since Sunset offers all services on one site including a cemetery and reception center. “Research shows having everything in one location is extremely important,” he said. He urges anyone with questions to call Sunset Memorial Park or dial the Byrd Funeral Home number that is now answered by Sunset staff.
